This morning while swimming I saw a falling star, or a particularly picturesque drop of water streaking down my goggles. If I get to the pool early enough, I swim three laps: the first in darkness, the second in half-light, the third in broad daylight. Me: I’m the broad.
This sign was up Mother’s Day when I arrived, but the weather was fine, the gate unlocked, & the pool dotted with swimmers. I went in.
The Egyptian Goose Family’s goslings are big hulking things now.
