I’m the lady who said hi. And my name is Kathy and I couldn’t remember the term “Substack” or your name, I could only think that maybe your name was the Kraken. Related story, during the three weeks the pool was closed, I swam at Barking and saw they guy with the skull on his guitar. I’m trying to learn bass so I talked to him and said learning is tricky. He said he got the guitar for ten bucks and it was in two pieces so he rebuilt it. One day I gave him some new strings. 🙂
Yes,it is a blog, and blessings upon you for acknowledging that openly. I don’t know why we have to keep renaming things. Why is “spinning” not merely “pedaling”? Blog away.
My advice: get the lantern and swipe the plastic (or not plastic) skull. Carry both. You'll be visible but people will probably pretend they don't see you.
It's Tuesday. I'm reading this instead, on purpose. Fortifying with life in all its early morning manifestations. "Fiersteinian honk:" I hope someone who know him (perhaps you?) steers in Fiersteinian eyes, perhaps with spectacles at this age, to this wonderfully exact phrase. Cheers.
I’m glad you more fully described your boiled wool dress because I really couldn’t picture it. Here’s to good progress on your book and relief on Tuesday for us all.

Re: that election thing. The good people of the internet have said of late that we are “nauseously optimistic” and I think that’s an accurate summary.

Why do I enjoy your posts so much? Perhaps because you capture the intricacies of small moments and decisions. The fleeting thoughts.
