I'm voting you as the person with the power to change reality with her thoughts. That means there'd be more flip flops and raccoons and Cream of Wheat light in my life.
I love all the layers of meaning in this one. I can’t help but think of some of these insights in a larger context, though I’m trying hard not to think of these larger contexts. Can’t stop or we’ll stop; exactly.
Flip-flop related story: I left my beautiful two-dollar flip flops out (with a red Superman logo—sweet) overnight on the deck of an apartment in Toronto and forgot about them. The next day I found what looked like a pile of over-buttered movie popcorn on the deck. The perpitrator, a black squirrel, was sitting in a tree about 20 feet away. Looking at me.
An especially lovely dispatch, Elizabeth, and moving. Thank you. ❤️
Thank you, dear Benjamin!
Well, that marvelous title is quite an excellent motto.

New word: impasto. Thank you.
“I can’t stop or I’ll stop.” Exactly.
"Rescued Against My Will" is a story title for sure.

Thank you! So glad to hear from you and take a mental break from the ongoing distress. Lovely.
So happy to see a swim report today; I, too, am looking for good news where I can find it.
I've always wanted to see Rickie Lee Jones. I hope, and assume, that she was swell.
I like the t-shirt idea. Nice to be able to identify our kind. And yeah, we can't stop.
“I can’t stop or I’ll stop” could seem to apply to so many things.
Thank you. Hearing your steady voice was a great comfort in these chaotic times.
The moon in the sky in all its shapes and forms is one of my favorite parts of early morning swims. Thx for this...
I do adore those fuzzy-butt goslings.
