One loves a theater report! Especially such a beautifully told theater report that makes me happily envious!

You made my day with this funny and interesting theater report. I will consider a box from now on if I ever go to a play.

Oh, this gave me such London longing! Lovely report. Next time I make it there, I’m in a box for sure!

You have made me wonder if I have taken away the right lesson about the theatre having been raised in a family that could afford to send me to “a play” and “a musical” once “so that I would know what was going on”. It sounds like fun perhaps I should go again. 🤔

This is wonderful! I spent time in London many years ago when you could easily book a ticket for the National Theater the same day for a song, (not literally, of course, which is a good thing for tone-deaf me!), for the most outstanding productions.

As a theatre writer, I found much to enjoy in this excellent McCracken report, especially the recognition given to Imelda Staunton who packs a punch with that tiny frame.

(I was only in a box once, at Bristol Old Vic and couldn't move my neck for a week).
